About the HSV IgG Test:

• This test detects IgG antibodies in the blood, which develop in response to an HSV infection.
• It helps determine if you’ve had a past infection with HSV, as IgG antibodies remain in the body long-term.
• The presence of IgG antibodies can indicate lifelong immunity to the virus or the possibility of latent (inactive) infection.
